City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />December 21, 2021 <br />Page 10 of 12 <br />Councilmember Fahey agreed the ADU conversation is needed and they are a historic <br />use in Old Town. She agreed a separate meeting should be held on this topic. <br />Mayor Stolzmann stated she thinks ADUs should be handled with the housing discussion <br />given how large that topic is and we need to get a lot of public engagement. Additionally, <br />she stated she would like to see more discussion on regulating building height and <br />requiring green space and trees. She would like to see more information on sustainability <br />included. She would like more discussion on maintaining corner lots and would like the <br />report to address parking. <br />Mr. Onaran stated the goal of the project is to determine if there are any areas in the code <br />that are preventing the outcomes the community wants. There are lots of things people <br />want to see and we have to make sure that code is ready for them. <br />Onaran and Ritchie suggested a workshopping session for a creative exchange of ideas <br />and discussion. <br />Councilmember Brown asked that equity, diversity, and inclusion policies be included in <br />the report. He noted saving the smaller, more affordable homes in Old Town needs to be <br />a part of the affordable housing plan. <br />Staff will work on a date for an additional meeting that will be advertised for public input. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94, SERIES 2021 — A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 2021 <br />BUDGET BY AMENDING APPROPRIATIONS IN THE GENERAL FUND, OPEN <br />SPACE & PARKS FUND, CEMETERY FUND, HISTORIC PRESERVATION FUND, <br />RECREATION FUND, CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND, WATER UTILITY FUND, <br />WASTEWATER UTILITY FUND, STORM WATER UTILITY FUND, SOLID WASTE & <br />RECYCLING FUND, AND GOLF COURSE FUND FOR ADDITIONAL <br />APPROPRIATIONS WITHIN SUCH FUNDS <br />Mayor Stolzmann introduced the item and opened the public hearing. <br />Mayor Pro Tern Maloney stated the Finance Committee has reviewed this in detail and it <br />really is a housekeeping clean up item. <br />Public Comments — None. <br />Mayor Stolzmann closed the public hearing. <br />MOTION: Mayor Pro Tern Maloney moved to approve Resolution No. 94; Councilmember <br />Dickinson seconded. <br />VOTE: Motion passed by unanimous roll call vote. <br />
