ORDINANCE NO. 1306 <br />Series 1999 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE INCREASING WATER TAP FEES IN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, <br />COLORADO. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to keep pace with the rising costs of providing water services and <br />future water system expansion needs, City staff has recommended an increase of $2,170 per single <br />family water tap fee (3/4") and an equivalent percentage increase in all other water tap fees, <br />commencing September 6, 1999; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Louisville, Colorado, has determined that <br />increases in the water tap fees charged by the City are necessary to adequately finance the services <br />provided by the City's water and sewer activity enterprises. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Table B contained in Subsection A of Section 13.12.040 <br />of the Louisville Municipal Code, entitled "Tap Fee - Table B," is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />TABLE B <br /> <br />Fee Calculations <br />Demand (g.p.m.) <br /> <br />Tap Size Tap Fee <br /> <br />0-22 3/4" $ 11,170 <br />23-45 1" 19,350 <br />46-80 1-1/2" 38,800 <br />81-140 2" 77,650 <br />141-280 3" 174,600 <br />28t-500 4" 349,100 <br /> <br />For taps larger than 4", the tap fee and other terms and conditions of the issuance <br />of the tap shall be established by written agreement approved by the City Council. <br /> <br /> Section 2. The increases in tap fees contained in Sections 1 of this Ordinance shall <br />take effect upon the effective date of this ordinance pursuant to C.R.S. 31-16-105. <br /> <br /> Section 3. If any portion of this ordinance is held to be invalid for any reason, such <br />decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council <br />hereby declares that it would have passed this ordinance and each part hereof irrespective of the <br />fact that any one part be declared invalid. <br /> <br />Section 4. The repeal or modification of any provision of the Municipal Code of the <br /> <br /> <br />
