viii. Park Improvements ($300K): focusing on community park to piggy -back off of
irrigation improvements, splash pad upgrade, dog park area
1. Ellen: supportive of splash pad, very popular in the community.
2. Dog Park Improvements: Dog park is highly loved and used. Dogs are no
longer allowed in the pond, so we can go back to the original dog park
concept with a new fence, fencing out the pond and making it into a
seating area. Discussion around a shade shelter, water hydrant for small
dog area. Shelly, Laurie, Ellen support Dean's concept around the pond
and dog park. Pond area would be a good opportunity for colorful
plantings.
a. Discussion also occurred around the small bmx bike 'pump
track' near the pond.
3. Patricia: Question around outside water fountains and if there could be
more water fountains. Dean: Fountains are near the restrooms. Deb
mentioned that she has heard from residents who would want more
water fountains, especially downtown.
4. Discussion around the Arboretum, damages and improvements. Snow
cover has made it difficult to evaluate so far.
• 2023 & 2024 Park Project Suggestions so far:
i. Sports Complex Parking Lot
ii. Equipment Replacement. Deb: past discussion around robotic lawn mowers — is
this still in the works? Dean: researching, mower would be more useful for large
spaces such as the golf course but interested in seeing a demo.
iii. Irrigation Improvements
iv. Playground Replacements
v. Landscape Improvements
vi. BMX Trail
vii. Continuation of median improvements
viii. Cottonwood Park, Sundance Park, Recreation Center improvements
ix. Review Master Plan
x. Tennis Court improvements/request from CVTA (Centennial Valley Tennis
Association)
xi. Subdivision Entry Landscape Improvements
xii. Multi -Purpose Field
xiii. Enclave Restroom Enclosure
xiv. PAR Course Equipment Replacement
xv. Park Renovations
• PPLAB to review and prioritize project suggestions
10. Agenda Items for Next Meeting
• To be confirmed, continued discussion of 2022 projects and 2023/2024 goals.
11. Meeting Adjourned 9:09 pm
5
