<br /> <br />Youth Advisory Board <br /> <br />Work Session Summary <br />Poet-a- Thon Subcommittees <br /> <br />3/16/09 <br />Louisville Recreation & Senior Center <br />900 W. Via Appia <br />7:00 PM <br /> <br />Call to Order Meeting called to order at 7:06pm <br /> <br />Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: <br />Austin Lawrence, Hannah Tienken, Ruby Dickson, Sam Webster, Katy Brown, Megan Valentine, <br />Nicole Polglaze <br />Staff present: Mandy Perera, Peggy Jones, Kriska Daltonhurst <br />LCC Present: Don Atwood <br /> <br />Summary- <br />We have 10 participants so far, but could use more adults and seniors. Mandy got in touch <br />with ran Hunstberry with "The Gamuts" an adult poetry group that meets at the Huckleberry- <br />he will spread the word at their next meeting. <br /> <br />Katy's dad wants to know if he can share a poem from a famous poet- yes! <br /> <br />Advertising- <br />. Sam- how else can we advertise? Should Y AB members go to other board <br />meetings nad spread the word? We should plan to attend a city council session <br />and invite them to attend. Next meeting (before the event) is Tuesday, March 17th. <br />. Megan- do we have posters? Mandy will print some on bright paper to post around <br />town- pick them up at the Rec. Center at the S1. Patrick's Day event and keep track <br />of where you posted them. <br />. Hannah- found out you can post events online on the Daily Camera's calendar. <br />. Charlie is creating a Facebook page (or group) for the event <br />. www.boulkdercountyarts.orq also has an online calendar <br />. Austin- KUNC wants to put it on their calendar <br />. Austin will try to contact 9News <br />. Can Megan C. contact Louisville Times again? <br />. Colorado Daily- Sierra was supposed to contact this publication- no word <br />. Boulder Weekly- no one has contacted- need a person to volunteer <br /> <br />Food- <br /> <br />. We probably only need about an hour to set up <br />. Mandy has secured the chocolate fountain. Thinks we should also buy snacks for <br />the green room, and flowers for the tables. <br />. MC's will be ruby, Megan V. and Megan C. <br />.
