SALES TAX REPORTS FOR THE MONTH AND QUARTER ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2021 Jeanette Longoria, Tax Manager, presented the fourth quarter sales tax reports. In summary, the year -over -year increases were: • Sales Tax revenue = 16.2% • Lodging Tax revenue = 48.7% • Auto Use Tax revenue = 19.3% • Building Use Tax revenue = 43.3% • Consumer Use Tax revenue = 24.3% The reports and corresponding narrative can be located in the packet of the February 21, 2022 Finance Committee Meeting. WRITE-OFFS OF UNCOLLECTIBEL ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE Kevin Watson, Finance Director, presented the proposed annual "write-off" of uncollectible accounts receivable. The City's Financial Policies allow the City Manager or Finance Director to approve bad debt write-offs up to $100 per account. Amounts greater than $100 must be approved by the Finance Committee. The total of proposed write-offs for Finance Committee action is a credit amount of $108.79. Council Member Brown moved to authorize the proposed write-off. REVIEW OF TOP-50 REPORTING ENTITIES Jeanette Longoria, Tax Manager, presented the proposed "Top-50" sales tax remitters for 2022.
