City Council Finance Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />02/21 /22 <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />The dashboards and corresponding narrative can be located in the packet of the <br />February 21, 2022 Finance Committee Meeting. <br />SALES TAX REPORTS FOR THE MONTH AND QUARTER ENDED <br />DECEMBER 31, 2021 <br />Jeanette Longoria, Tax Manager, presented the fourth quarter sales tax reports. <br />In summary, the year -over -year increases were: <br />• Sales Tax revenue = 16.2% <br />• Lodging Tax revenue = 48.7% <br />• Auto Use Tax revenue = 19.3% <br />• Building Use Tax revenue = 43.3% <br />• Consumer Use Tax revenue = 24.3% <br />The reports and corresponding narrative can be located in the packet of the <br />February 21, 2022 Finance Committee Meeting. <br />WRITE-OFFS OF UNCOLLECTIBEL ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE <br />Kevin Watson, Finance Director, presented the proposed annual "write-off" of <br />uncollectible accounts receivable. The City's Financial Policies allow the City <br />Manager or Finance Director to approve bad debt write-offs up to $100 per <br />account. Amounts greater than $100 must be approved by the Finance <br />Committee. <br />The total of proposed write-offs for Finance Committee action is a credit amount <br />of $108.79.
