<br />12/6/83 <br /> <br />Page -3- <br /> <br />MEETING RECONVENED <br />CHANGES IN AGENDA <br /> <br />Meeting reconvened at 11:15 P.M. <br />Mayor Meier advised that there were people <br />in attendance who wished to deal with 2 <br />items and if there were other items on <br />the agenda that someone present wished <br />to have discussed felt that council could <br />deal with them first. <br />With council's approval he requested that <br />an item A 1. be added under the City <br />Attorney's report - Church of the Jesus <br />Christ of the Latter Day Saints - then <br />proceed with item A. 2. - McStain Annex- <br />ation Agreement Amendment. <br /> <br />LDS CHURCH <br /> <br />Request for Conditional <br />Certificate of Occupancy <br /> <br />Councilmembers had copies of letters from <br />Donald Schallock, Architect for the LDS <br />Louisville Stake Center as well as memo <br />from Chief Building Inspector Steve <br />Ferris regarding the Church's. request and <br />improvements that needed to be completed be- <br />fore a Certificate of Occupany could be <br />issued. <br /> <br />Administrator Wurl advised that the Church's <br />request was in two parts - one was persmission <br />to defer items that council and the P.U.D. <br />required be completed prior to the issuance <br />of the Certificate of Occupancy. These <br />items were primarily landscaping. Their <br />request was for them to occupy the build- <br />ing for a special event on December 10, <br />16 and 17, 1983. <br />Mayor Meier expressed concern if these 3 <br />dates would allow enough time to prepare <br />for the event requested; inquired of Chief <br />Building Ferris how this would effect the <br />temporary C.O. Ferris replied that they <br />would only be issued the temporary C.O. <br />for the 3 days. <br /> <br />ROD WILCOX, LDS CHURCH <br /> <br />Mr. Rod Wilcox stated that they are in <br />essence trying to obtain a conditional <br />certificate of occupancy, not just for 3 <br />days. Various requirements had not been <br />met because of weathering, i.e. the land- <br />scaping and sod. <br /> <br />Mayor Meier inquired if the safety factors <br />of the building had been addressed. Mr. <br />Ferris advised that he spoke with Mr. wil- <br />cox this evening and a few of the items <br />had been completed; but no inspection was <br />
