<br />HALL-IRWIN CONSTRUCTION <br />CHANGE ORDER #1 - MAIN ST. <br />WATER MAIN <br /> <br />APPROVAL <br /> <br />MARSHALL RAW WATER LINE - <br />AUTHORIZE CALL FOR BIDS <br /> <br />Addition of Outlet Works <br />and Valves <br /> <br />APPROVAL TO CALL FOR BIDS <br /> <br />CITY HALL - REJECT BIDS AND <br />CALL FOR NEW BIDS <br /> <br />APPROVAL <br /> <br />11/3/83 <br /> <br />Page -19- <br /> <br />Councilmembers had a copy of the change <br />order and memo outlining what necessitated <br />the change; also recommendation from Director <br />Kasch. ' <br /> <br />Councilwoman Morris moved, Mayor Meier <br />seconded that payment be authorized for <br />Change Order #1 in the amount of $2,599.66 <br />to Hall-Irwin Construction for the Main St. <br />water main. Question called for. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilmembers had a copy of a memo from <br />Director of Public Works Kasch of the <br />request and timetable. <br /> <br />Administrator Wurl requested Council also <br />authorize the addition of outlet works and <br />valves to the bid list. Also advised that <br />the estimates are $700,000 for the raw water <br />line, of which the City's share is $274,000 <br />with the balance coming from the County and <br />B.F.I.; t:he outlet works - $181,000 which <br />will come from Homart; the gate is a 50-50 <br />deal with the farmers - $230,000 - Homart <br />half and farmers half. <br />Councilman Leary inquired what the final <br />cost sharing of the project was that needs <br />to be resolved. <br />Homart's share has to be approved, and the <br />estimate is based on the 27" pipeline and <br />it is conceivable that Homart may have some <br />disagreement on that. <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson moved, Councilman Leary <br />seconded that authorization be given to call <br />for bids on the Marshall Lake raw water line, <br />outlet works and valves. Question called for. <br />All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilmembers had a copy of the bid tabulation <br />for the interior improvements to City Hall <br />and recommendation from Administrator Wurl <br />to call for new bids as they were too high. <br /> <br />Councilman Leary moved, Mayor Meier seconded <br />that authorization be given to call for new <br />bids on the interior improvements to City <br />Hall. Question called for. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />
