<br />9/7/83 <br /> <br />Page -3- <br /> <br />Storer's Transfer to <br />Scripps-Howard <br /> <br />City Administrator Wurl distributed a letter <br />to councilmembers from Patty Stahl as an <br />update of Storer Cable TV's transfer to <br />Scripps-Howard. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT TO CML POLICY <br />COMMITTEE <br /> <br />Administrator Wurl advised that he received <br />a letter from the Colorado Municipal League <br />stating that a someone should be desig- <br />nated to the CML Policy Committee. Mayor <br />Meier appointed Councilman Leary to serve <br />on this committee. <br /> <br />SA BELL'S INC. - CHANGE <br />ORDER #6 - PARKS <br /> <br />Councilmembers had a copy of the change order <br />which dealt with the irrigation system at <br />Hillsborough West Park, and changing asphalt <br />to concrete at the Keith Helart Park with <br />an increase in the original contract of <br />$2,775.00. <br /> <br />APPROVAL <br /> <br />Councilman Ferrera moved, Councilman Fauson <br />seconded that SaBell's Inc. Change Order #6 <br />in the amount of $2,775.00 be approved. Question <br />called for. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson moved, Mayor Meier seconded <br />that the City Administrator's report be ac- <br />cepted and placed on file. Question called <br />for. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Councilman Fauson <br />Koshier Burrito Sign <br /> <br />Commented that the Koshier Burrito has re- <br />opened and there was nothing done about <br />the sign as Council had directed. In fact <br />they have another banner type sign. What <br />is the status of this? <br />Director Rupp to check this out with the <br />Chief Building Inspector and report back. <br /> <br />Councilman Cussen <br />LINC Newsletter <br /> <br />Wished to commend the people who put the <br />"LINC" together, was a job well done. <br /> <br />Fall Festival Carnival <br /> <br />Inquired of the City Attorney, what the City's <br />responsibility and liability was when the <br />carnival comes to town, i.e. if someone is <br />injured on one of the rides. <br />Attorney Rautenstraus advised that there was <br />no liability to the City unless the City was <br />aware of a particular ride that was hazardous, <br />but let it come into the City anyway. The <br />primary liability was with the owner of the <br />ride equipment. <br />
