<br />APPROVAL <br /> <br />Councilman Cussen <br /> <br />VOTE ON MOTION <br /> <br />VAN WATERS & ROGERS - AWARD <br />BID - CHEMICALS <br /> <br />APPROVAL <br /> <br />CHEMICAL SALES - AWARD BID <br />CHLORINE <br /> <br />NALCO CHEMICAL CO. AWARD BID <br />POLYHER <br /> <br />APPROVAL <br /> <br />7/5/83 <br /> <br />Page -3- <br /> <br />Councilman Cummings moved, Councilman Fauson <br />seconded that Pay Estimate #2 to Powder River <br />Construction Co. in the amount of $22,517.46 <br />for Main Street Waterline be approved. <br /> <br />Commented someone asked him if Powder River <br />Construction Co. was out of Wyoming and if <br />so is it wise to award bids to someone from <br />another state. <br />City Engineer Blanchard advised the company's <br />mailing address is Ft. Collins; the owners <br />live in Windsor. <br /> <br />Question called for. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilmembers had a copy of the tablulation <br />of bids and recommendation from Darrell <br />Benjamin, Acting Supt. Water/Wastewater Plants. <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson moved, Councilman Cussen <br />seconded that Van Waters & Rogers be awarded <br />the bid for chemicals for the water, waste- <br />water plants and swimming pool. Question <br />called for. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilwoman Morris moved, Councilman Cussen <br />seconded that Chemical Sales be awarded the <br />bid for Chlorine Gas, Muriatic Acid, Chlorine <br />Granular and Chlorine Tablets. Question <br />called for. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilmembers had a copy of a memo from <br />Acting Supt. Benjamin stating that Nalco <br />Chemical Co. was not the lowest bidder, but <br />recrnmended this company because of the avail- <br />ability of smaller quantities and storage <br />was not available. <br /> <br />Councilman Cummings moved, Councilman Fauson <br />seconded that Nalco Chemical Co. be awarded <br />the bid for polymer. Question called for. <br />All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />
