<br />ORDINANCE #804 - ZONING - <br />CHILD CARE HOMES <br /> <br />PUBLICATION AUTHORIZED - PUBLIC <br />HEARING DATE SET <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO THE ORDINANCE <br /> <br />DISCUSSION .- 6 CHILDREN <br />PLUS 2 BEFORE & AFTER <br />DURING SCHOOL <br /> <br />SECOND ADDITION TO ORDINANCE <br />#804 <br /> <br />VOTE ON THE ORDINANCE AS <br />AMENDED <br /> <br />7/5/83 <br /> <br />Page -6- <br /> <br />Councilmembers had a copy of the ordinance; <br />Attorney Rautenstraus read it by title only <br />on first reading and the request was for <br />publication. <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson moved, Councilman Cussen <br />seconded that Ordinance #804 - Zoning - Child <br />Care Homes be published and a public hearing <br />set for August 2, 1983. <br /> <br />Councilwoman Morris moved, Councilman Leary <br />seconded that Ordinance #804 be amended - <br />Section 17.08.155 Family Care Home. to read <br />sixteen years who is not related to an adult <br />living within the home - in lieu of related <br />to the head of such home as stated. Question <br />carrea ror:- All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilwoman Morris referred to Section 17. <br />08.155 Such facility shall provide care and <br />training for no more than six children, and <br />stated it was her understanding that the State <br />Statutes say that no more than 6 children <br />plus two children before and after during <br />the school year. Felt this should concur <br />with the State Statutes. <br />Attorney Rautenstraus was of the opinion that <br />it was the regulations of the department that <br />said that. Further advised that if Council <br />desired a change could be made to state - <br />for no more than 6 children as set forth by <br />the regulations of the Department of Social <br />Services, then if another change was made by <br />them in the future this would take care of it. <br />Attorney Rautenstraus to make this change in <br />Ordinance #804. <br /> <br />Councilman Leary requested that the wording <br />In addition, all shall comply and conform to <br />the rules and regulations set forth by the <br />Colorado Department of Social Services be <br />added after the last sentence in Section of <br />17.08.065 also. <br />Council concurred with the request - Attorney <br />to make the change. <br /> <br />Question called for. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />
