<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />February 3, 2009 <br />Page 4 of 6 <br /> <br />Staff recommended Council approve the Framework Plan and direct Staff to draft <br />an IGA with the Town of Superior for library services within sixty days. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk commended City Manager Fleming, Interim Library Director Schumm <br />and the Library Board of Trustees for their efforts. He also commended Superior <br />Mayor Muckle for his efforts in continuing the discussions. He asked when the <br />library cards will be activated for Superior residents. City Manager Fleming <br />stated the library cards will be reactivated no later than Friday, February 6. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Eileen Patrick, 401 West Street, Louisville, CO, President, Library Board of <br />Trustees, voiced her support of the framework plan for the IGA with the Town of <br />Superior. She felt the Framework Plan reiterated the fundamental agreement of <br />Louisville and Superior citizens. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilor Dalton commended Mayor Muckle, Mayor Sisk and City Manager <br />Fleming for continuing to work on an agreement. He suggested the Superior <br />Library Representative have full access to the Superior Town Board and the <br />Louisville City Council. He recommended the City assist the Town of Superior in <br />drafting a referendum for a ballot question for Library services. <br /> <br />Councilor Yarnell stated she was very happy with the agreement and voiced her <br />appreciation to everyone who worked on the framework plan. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilors Dalton and Yarnell moved to approve the framework for a <br />new intergovernmental agreement with the Town of Superior for Library services. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light requested the motion include direction to Staff to prepare an <br />IGA for presentation to Council within sixty days. Councilors Dalton and Yarnell <br />accepted the amendment. Councilors Clabots, Sackett and Muckle seconded the <br />motion. All in favor. Absent: Mayor Pro Tem Marsella. <br /> <br />City Manager Fleming recognized and praised former Library Director Anne Mojo <br />for her dedication to the Louisville Public Library and the City of Louisville. He <br />noted that Anne was instrumental in building the new library, making it so <br />beautiful and in forming the great team that mana~les it so well. The City has <br />named the Library's fireplace reading room the "Anne Mojo Reading Room" as a <br />tribute to her many contributions to Louisville. <br />
