Sycamore Circle, Louisville, CO explained he is very <br />allergic to bee stings, but voiced his support of keeping honey bees in the City. <br /> <br />Angie Layton, 619 W. Juniper Court, Louisville, CO supported keeping honey <br />bees in the City. She voiced her concern over the colony collapse syndrome. <br /> <br />Michele Pelanne, 741 Wild rose Way, Louisville, CO conducted an email survey, <br />which received a fair amount of positive support for beekeeping. She asked for a <br />raise of hands from those in the audience who support the keeping of bees. The <br />majority of the people in the audience raised their hands. She presented an <br />educational PowerPoint presentation on the merits of keeping honey bees. <br /> <br />Heather May, 1456 W. Elm Street, Louisville, CO reported attending a Boulder <br />County Beekeeping course, and voiced her support of beekeeping. <br /> <br />Annie Hughes, 1405 Garfield Court, Louisville, CO stated she is also allergic to <br />bee stings, but supported beekeeping in Louisville. <br /> <br />Janna Butler, 325 S. Adams Drive, Louisville, CO supported beekeeping. She <br />did beekeeping in Boulder and was surprised it is prohibited in Louisville. <br /> <br />Zoe Monroe, 470 Muirfield Circle, Louisville, CO voiced her support for <br />beekeeping in Louisville. <br /> <br />A Longmont resident testified he is a beekeeping hobbyist and has not received <br />any complaints from his neighbors. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilor Dalton reported polling several residents about beekeeping and found <br />the residents are supportive. He favored referring the matter to the Planning <br />Commission and suggested keeping the regulations simple. <br /> <br />Councilor Clabots reported being an avid gardener, who needs bees to pollinate <br />his garden. He supported beekeeping and referring the matter to the Planning <br />Commission for a relatively simple guideline. <br /> <br />Councilor Sackett discussed the issue with residents and noted those polled <br />were at least 9 t01 in favor of beekeeping. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk also received positive input from residents. He asked Ms. Conrey <br />what would happen if bees do not have a water source. Ms. Conrey explained <br />
