Had been residing in the area for
2~ years and the streets are badly deteriorating.
As a memember of the Homeowners Association
he was requesting support from the Council
Street Improvements to obtain needed improvements on a firm
scheduled basis. He had written letters
to the City Engineer and Attorney and the
homeowners had meetings with the developer;
however to date none of the promised improve-
Drainage ments had been realized. First of all drain-
age is a serious problem - water flow is
going in incorrect directions. There are
water retention ponds in the north end of
the Mission Greens portion of Centennial
Valley I, unfortunately the water does not
flow into them and are not being utilized.
In addition there are problems with standing
water on various streets; these streets have
not been finished and this is causing damage
to the other streets. Some of the other con-
cerns are to get the concrete repaired, grad-
ing to promote proper drainage flow. Stated
one of the major street repairs had been done
today, but there are several others that
need immediate repair; was seeking firm
schedule for maintenance of pot holes as they
occur in the subdivision. Homeowners are
seeking final acceptance by the City 0& the
street overlay, to ensure snow plows will
clean the area should a snowstorm occur.
Mr. Reed had obtained a schedule of when
some of the improvements would be made from
Street Overlay the developer, Bill Suitts, but wished re-
assurance that the second lift of asphalt
would be overlayed in all sections where
Landscaping people are residing. Another concern was
the landscaping at the entrance of Mission
Greens, which should have been done May 18,
1981. This has not been accomplished.
It was his understanding that there were to
Elementary School Access be some changes in the original plat - one
of the main concerns with this was ensuring
easy access between their development for
their children to the Elementary School.
At present this is not possible - they have
pathways going on the east and west sides
as a safe access to the school.
__ctention Ponds He addressed the retention ponds which were
connected by a cement conduit with a fairly
large mesh grating on either end the children
play in this area - concerned this is a safety
