<br />liOSPITAL ADVISORY BOARD <br />APPOINTMENTS <br /> <br />Appointments to Hospital <br />Advisory Board <br /> <br />AUDIENCE COHMENTS <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />ORDINANCE #767 - COMMERCIAL <br />AMUSEMENT DEVICES <br /> <br />~Juncilman Ferrera <br /> <br />Councilman Cummings <br /> <br />Councilman Leary <br /> <br />Violations <br /> <br />Inspections <br /> <br />10/5/82 <br /> <br />Page -5- <br /> <br />Administrator Wurl stated he hld contacted <br />the following people who had indicated they <br />would be willing to serve on the committee. <br />Mel Malfantano <br />Chuck Schmidt <br />Frances DelPizzo <br />Rod Leesman <br />Councilman Leary volunteered to serve and <br />Councilwoman Morris to be alternate. <br /> <br />Councilman Leary moved, Councilwoman Morris <br />seconded that Frances DelPizzo, Mel Malfantano, <br />Chuck Schmidt, Rod Leesman and John Leary be <br />appointed to the Hospital Advisory Board. <br />Councilwoman Morris to act as alternate. <br />Question called for. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Attorney Rautenstraus read the ordinance by <br />title only and the request was for publication. <br />Each councilmember had a copy of the ordinance. <br /> <br />Inquired relat~ve to the $100.00 'fee per machine, <br />would this apply for one year or each time a <br />machine is changed. <br />Attorney Rautenstraus replied the fee was <br />set up for the number of devices the owner <br />would have, so that they would not be required <br />to pay $100.00 each time a machine was changed. <br /> <br />Requested under section 8.48.010 Definitions _ <br />The term "mechanical and/or electronic amuse- <br />ment device" be added. <br /> <br />Inquired if each machine could be required to <br />have an equivalent of a license posted on it; <br />therefore solving the problem of the machines <br />being transferred. <br />Councilman Leary recommended that something <br />be placed in the ordinance that council be <br />notified of all violations. <br />Staff to notify council of any major violations. <br /> <br />Councilman Leary also requested that two in- <br />pections per year be made to insure all appli- <br />cable codes are met. <br />Attorney Rautenstraus advised that he would <br />be hesitant to place this requirement in the <br />ordinance because it would be too restrictive, <br />should more or less inspections be required. <br />Leary suggested the wording periodic inspections. <br />
