<br />Councilwoman Morris <br /> <br />ADOPTION <br /> <br />ORDINANCE #760 - WATER AND <br />WASTEWATER RATE INCREASE <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />5/18/82 <br /> <br />Page -6- <br /> <br />Mayor Meier asked if there was any pre- <br />sentation by the staff. <br />Administrator Wurl advised that fliers <br />were distributed to every residence in <br />Louisville who receives a water bill, <br />outlining what was happening and notifying <br />people of the public hearing this evening. <br />Mayor Meier continued the public hearing - <br />anyone supporting Ordinance #759 - none. <br />Opposing Ordinance #759 - Administrator <br />Wurl advised that a letter was received <br />from McStain Corp. opposing the ordinance. <br />Council questions and comments. <br /> <br />Referred to the letter received from <br />Mr. Kruger of McStain stated that the fees <br />were substantially increased just ;Lecently; inquired <br />when the fees were increased and how much? <br />Wurl advised in 1979 from $3,600.00 to <br />$4,100.00, and on the sewer tap from $800.00 <br />to $1,000.00 <br /> <br />Mayor Meier closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Councilman Leary moved, Councilman Cussen <br />seconded that Ordinance #759 - Water and <br />Wastewater Tap Fee Increase be adopted. <br />Roll call vote: <br />YES: Cussen, Meier, Cummings, Fauson, <br />Ferrera, Morris,Leary <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Attorney Rautenstraus read the ordinance <br />by title only on second reading and public <br />hearing, and certified proper publication. <br />Rautenstraus also advised that section <br />13.12.090 B had been amended and suggested <br />when the motion is made to make reference <br />to this amendment. <br /> <br />Mayor Meier opened the public hearing and <br />Attorney Rautenstraus certified notice of <br />public hearing was published in the Louis- <br />ville Times May 5, and May 12, 1982. <br />Presentation by staff - Administrator Wurl <br />advised fliers advising users of the proposed <br />increases were sent to all residents. <br />
