Page - 3 -

sq. ft. and the structures that you're purposing are 70,000
and 85,000 sq. ft. or something like that. It's a very low
key kind of feeling up there, as far as the building that is
there now and I appreciate your attempting to make the structures
that you want build aesthetic and as amenable as possible How-
ever, it is kind of difficult with something that is that size,
and the kind of feed-back that I got is - well, why don't they
move closer down by where the projected mall area is going to
be; because there is office space down there, and it is going
to be developed anyway. The other feeling is - well maybe they
could go over by C.T.C., so everyone is busy purposing areas for
you to be in. But that is the kind of feed-back that I am getting.
I don't think the concern is the proximity as far as how close
you are to Continental View Estates, or Hillsborough West, or
whatever. But rather the change in the total atmosphere up
there when the buildings come in. The traffic down South Boulder
Road, down the hill, into Boulder, with 100 and however many
cars, or even another 80 cars, it's one lane each way, and in
bad weather we all know what it is like, if you have tried to
get down the hill. And those are some of the concerns that I
have been confronted with and I am going to confront you with.

Ken Taniguchi I understand that, and this is the thing we haven't
done total traffic studies from the standpoint of exact numbers
on South Boulder Road at this point. We just didn't have the
time for this meeting. But we would be willing to take a look
at it, and be able to answer you as to what I believe Neodata
is willing also to look at control of traffic, let's put it that
way. So that we can minimize the concerns you have.

Councilwoman Morris One further concern that I have is that I'm not quite
sure the normal procedure, from what 'I understand, is that we will
go thru the subdivision, through the Planning Commission then
it comes to us at that point, and everyone has had a real thorough
chance to go thru everything and explore everything, both with
you people and with the community around it. I get the feeling,
that if we tonight, approve your request and at that point, you
have the go ahead; and if in fact 3 months later we find that
there is a significant traffic problem - that this really is not
going to work - the way we all would have hoped it would. Then
what do we say - well, we blew it.

Ken Taniguchi I think it reflects back to the Mayor's comment
earlier regarding - will Neodata be willing to cooperate regard-
ing any traffic problems that may arise because of the facility.
I think that Mr. Burghardt answered that they would be more than
happy to work with the city on that. It is almost like at catch
22 - you know.

Councilwoman Morris EXACTLY~ I understand that you are willing to cooperate
and it maybe out of your control at that point if the situation
is gotten to where we put a light up. Maybe that will help as
far as getting in and out, of Neoda.ta, but the congestion - I'm
