Councilman Leary

Councilman Ferrera

Administrator Wur1

)unci1man Ferrera

Administrator Wur1

Motion to Table the Trousi1
Request

STEWART REQUEST - ANNEXATION

4/20/82

Page -10-

with the date the light industrial zoning
was designated by the County, and a copy
of the rE~ferra1 comments made to the
County regarding the Trousi1 property.

Concurred that a letter should be written
to the County, but it was his opinion the
overall intent of the letter should be to
see if there is any possible way of resolving
this issue, and if there should be others
that may create the same problem in the
future; not just to reprimand them.

Wanted to confirm - if council denied the
request, would Trousil still be allowed to
build?

Advised it was his opinion that if Mr.
Trousi1 was abiding by all the laws of the
County; he has a well permit; permission
for a ceptic tank, the building permit is
all he needs.

Inquired would it be advantagious to the
City that if Mr. Trousi1 does build,to grant
the utility request, would we have some
control over the subdivision. He felt
the area had always been an open space
priority of the City as it is a main entrance.
He also felt as the designation stands, the
applicant could do whatever he wished to do.

Commented in his opinion, in the best interests
of the City, as difficult as it is to do,
subject the granting of utilities to his
annexation of the property to the City.
Then he would be subject to the City's re-
quirements.

Councilman Ferrera moved, Councilman Cummings
moved to table the Trousi1 request until
next City Council meeting of May 4, 1982.
Question called for. All in favor. Motion
carried unanimously.

Each counci1member had a copy of the request.
The applicant was not present.
In answer to Councilman Leary's request,
Director Rupp advised present zoning was
Agricultural - Residential. Commercial
zoning requests would have to be considered
by Council individually.
