City Council
Study Session Summary
February 24, 2022
• The Quarterly Community Update is going out next week; we are mailing it first
class to the displaced residents so it will be forwarded to them.
• Working on changes to website to transition to a recovery page; much of that
new site will be related to Planning and Building and what they are working on.
• The Builder Expo tomorrow and Saturday has about 30 builders participating
and over 500 families registered.
• We are still working with Superior on the community liaison/site superintendent
position. We are finalizing scope today and looking to DOLA for funding.
• On March 11 the access process to the burn areas will change. The 24/7 staffing
and placard control will be ending so we are working to transition to a road
closure system with roving patrols rather than stationed staff.
• The State Patrol is loaning us a license plate camera trailer to help monitor the
neighborhoods.
• The Library is starting returning to in person story time next week for the first
time in two years.
Mayor Pro Tern Maloney stated he is getting questions about the schedule and timing of
PPDR; we need to widely publish that when we have it.
Councilmember Dickinson asked when FEMA will rule on paying for the foundation
removal. City Manager Durbin sais we are hoping it is soon; but there are no
guarantees.
Members would like to attend the Builders Expo to hear the information. They will not
have more than two members there at the same time to avoid open meetings issues.
Adjourned 9:50 am.
Submitted 2124122 Meredyth Muth
