Tiffany suggested that we try to involve more <br />Louisville citizens, perhaps as a way to attract volunteers to our <br />subcommittees. She suggested that we give fliers to those <br />dropping off recyclables. Lev suggested that we could involve CU <br />Boulder undergraduates. <br />Emily began a discussion of the bag tax implementation. Tiffany <br />asked if we can use revenue from the bag tax for LSAB initiatives. <br />Emily replied that there are suggested uses for the bag tax, <br />including further education, but that other initiatives could likely <br />receive excess revenue. Tiffany asked how the City has been <br />spending money on education. Emily replied that so far the City <br />has only spent money on staff's efforts to educate the public and <br />businesses. <br />7. 7:00 PM Discussion Item: 2022 Work Plan <br />A. Sub -committee updates <br />First, we discussed updates from the residential <br />decarbonization subcommittee. Regarding the gas -powered <br />lawn mower recycling and trade-in program, Emily said that <br />she would be talking to the City manager about the City <br />providing extra funds to the Regional Air Quality Council. <br />Josh and Todd provided updates on some of the details of <br />how the program will work for Louisville citizens.
