Cultural Council Meeting Agenda <br />Thursday, April 21st, 2022 <br />6:30PM <br />In -person meeting: Louisville Public Library - First Floor Meeting Room <br />Option to join electronically: Zoom Webinar ID 895 7532 5910 <br />We promote arts and culture in Louisville. We program cultural events, advocate for and support <br />artists, and advise City Council. By doing so we engage our diverse social, cultural, <br />and creative community. <br />This meeting will be held in -person, with the option to join electronically. Call to Order 5 min <br />- Called at 6:33pm <br />II. Roll Call (items I—V) <br />- Richard Currandy, Carolyn Fahey, Greg Fields (non -board members) <br />- Erica, Mark, Sarah, Grace, Leah, Beth, Keylee, Trina, JR <br />III. Approval of Today's Agenda <br />- Leah moves to approve - Jr seconds <br />IV. Public Comments: Items Not on the Agenda <br />- Three members of the public, Richard, Gregory and Carolyn <br />a. Carolyn Fahey: 118 West Enclave Circle: Gave her background: born and raised in <br />Boulder, lost childhood home in the fire, loved the culture and arts of the town. <br />Mentioned that her father found one of her old arts projects which prompted her to see <br />her own art and pieces of fire debris in a new way. She proposed a new agenda item: a <br />contemporary art event that commemorates the anniversary of the fire. First type of art: <br />by personal artists that experienced it first hand. Second, those who will run a series of <br />tiles that will form a structure. She asked the ICC to support the event and utilization of <br />the cultural center on December 30 - Feb 4th. <br />b. Greg Fields: 203 West Cannon in Lafayette: Was a resident of Louisville, now located in <br />Lafayette. He seconds Carolyn's project. He is an artist and suggests that he helps with <br />the workshops where wet tiles are provided to the public and then Greg would have the <br />vision of glazing the tiles that would then be put into the community. There is a website <br />that showcases the work. Marshal renews. com is the website. <br />c. Richard Currandy: 693 Tammaris Ct in Louisville: he is sitting in to hear the grant <br />discussion and is one of the grant applicants. <br />V.
