City Council
Meeting Minutes
February 1, 2022
David Bachrach, 138 Cherrywood Lane, shared that he spoke to his insurance agent and
was told that his coverage was enough and that the building costs are not true. He
believes insurance agencies are too removed from realistic building costs.
Bob Anastasi, 839 Trail Ridge Drive, also shared that he is underinsured and is asking for
help for those that just want the ability to rebuild their homes. He asked Council to
leverage the issue with the State Insurance Commission.
Mark Cathcart, 1763 Sweet Clover Lane, spoke about the need for the City to be involved
in a coordinated rebuilding process as has been done in other places in the past.
Carolyn Steffl, 459 Muirfield Circle, shared concerns regarding poor egress from the
Monarch Campus noting the possibility of another fire or an active shooter incident. A
solution needs to be found sooner rather than later.
Scott MacLaughlin, 948 St. Andrews Lane, expressed concern about problems with
finding companies to perform debris removal and asked if all lots have to be cleared
before rebuilding can start.
Susan Nedell stated her support for building back sustainable communities to help
mitigate future disasters. She noted she is also underinsured, but she is making it a
priority to build back a more sustainable home.
APPROVAL OF THE CONSENT AGENDA
Mayor Stolzmann asked for changes to the consent agenda; hearing none she asked for
a motion. Motion: Councilmember Dickinson moved to approve the consent agenda,
seconded by Councilmember Brown. Vote: All in favor.
A. Approval of Bills
B. Approval of 2022 On Call Geographic Information System and Asset
Management Support Contract with Invision GIS, LLC
C. Approval of Sole Source Contract with Boulder Bridge House LLC for On -
Call Maintenance Services for Parks, Open Space, and Golf
D. Approval of Sole Source Contract with Dominion Voting Systems, Inc. for
Hardware Rental, Software License and Service Agreement for the April 19,
2022 Special Election
COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE
AGENDA
Mayor Stolzmann noted it is Black History Month and she read a passage from the
Proclamation from President Biden and encouraged everyone to read the entire
proclamation. She noted the library is hosting several programs as is the Museum.
