Many of us care more about open space than public access. <br />Richard Morgan, 644 W. Pine St: Appreciated all the work that went in. Was in favor of the 2021 <br />GDP, reminds OSAB that the amount of open space has exceeded requirements. The land <br />offered is the highest -value space on the property. The land is disturbed, it's not pristine. It's not <br />like Davidson Mesa. He supports new, enhanced proposal. <br />Sherry Sommer, 910 W. Calisade Ct: Public has spoken out that more land should be saved. All <br />land north of Disk Drive should be saved. That element of the space hasn't been built on. A <br />Goodhue Ditch trail would also bisect habitat. <br />Tim Stalker, 806 W. Dahlia Ct: Handed out a master drainage plan. Conflict between the <br />development and natural drainage. Underpasses and culverts next to each other only designed <br />for a 10-year flood pattern. Need more detail about the buffer required by Boulder County. <br />Encourages OSAB to get more detail about the north section, cooperation with Boulder County. <br />M. Christiansen, 543 Adams Ave: Concern about the placement of Campus Drive. <br />Mike Shantz: 623 W. Hickory Court: Former OSAB member: A fan of encouraging more public <br />land dedication. Went through the history of the debate, advocated that OSAB to approve the <br />current plan. <br />Justin Solomon 477 Lincoln Ct: The 18 acres added along 36 aren't developable land anyway. <br />He feels those strips of land aren't high -quality. Centennial Valley included 260 open -space <br />acres (public and private). <br />Cindy Bedell, 662 W. Willow St: Proposed open space isn't enough for a development of this <br />size. Voters asked for more open space in the election. Asks for 40% set aside, all north of Disk <br />Drive. Prairie dogs are a keystone feature. Not clear how the 47 acres in Boulder County add. <br />Could it be developed anyway given the IGA? Consider a grant through GOCO to fund <br />purchase of additional land. <br />Laura Page, 920 Rex St: OSAB shouldn't make a decision without consulting with Boulder <br />County about the new 47 acres. Per city code, natural features should be maintained. In the <br />ConocoPhillips plan, 222 acres would have been set aside for private open space. She hopes <br />for a compromise that would avoid development north of Disk Drive. Move the 18 acres along <br />Highway 36 to the north section so it adds contiguous open space. She is concerned about the <br />demise of prairie dogs. The 47 acres to the north are already designated as rural preservation. <br />Josh Cooperman, 216 Griffith St: Advocated for more open space at the last meeting. <br />Appreciates the addition of more by the developer, but thinks even more needed. Wants to see <br />all land north of Disk Drive preserved and realignment of Campus Drive. <br />Board discussion: <br />Peter: Our jurisdiction is confined to matters of open space and trails. The dedication of open <br />space exceeds the city code. He's read the code and doesn't see any way the city can require <br />more open space than the applicant has already offered. The trail dedications make sense in <br />consideration of the 2010 GDP. <br />
