This budget meets the specific requirements of the Statutes of <br />Colorado as -relates to municipal budgeting. <br />The total assessed valuation for our City is $48,219,890.00. <br />The General Obligation Bond limit set by State Law is three <br />' percent (3%), of the City's actual valuation. For the budget year <br />1984 the actual valuation is $217,975,823 permitting a debt limit of <br />$6,539,275. <br />In 1983 we paid off the Pool Bond issue which was our only <br />General Obligation debt, leaving the total limit of $6,539,275. <br />available. Water and Wastewater Bond issues do not apply against the <br />debt limit. <br />The items of major importance provided for in the budget are <br />outlined below. <br />1. Marshall Lake Raw Water Line. <br />' 2. Harper Lake Raw Water Storage. <br />3. Howard T. Berry Treatment Plant. <br />4. South Boulder Road Improvements. <br />5. Economic Development Division. <br />6. Street Overlay Program. <br />7. Seal Coat Program. <br />8. Tree planting Program. <br />' 9. Expanded Library Hours. <br />10. Concrete Replacement Program. <br />11. Completion of Alley Paving Program. <br />' 12. Pre -sedimentation Basin - Louisville Water Plant. <br />13. Post -sedimentation Basin - Louisville Water Plant. <br />14. Pumping Plant Improvements - High Zone. <br />15. Water Rights Acquisition. <br />16. Full time Clerk of the Municipal Court. <br />
