DEPARTMENT: CITY COUNCIL 01-102-00-000 <br />DESCRIPTION OF DEPARTMENT <br />The City Council is the representative legislative body of the <br />City of Louisville and has the responsibility of determining <br />community needs and establishing immediate and long-range <br />policies consistent with those needs. In order to meet this <br />responsibility, the City Council holds regular public meetings, <br />many special meetings, frequent study sessions, and individual <br />members of the Council meet often with various organizations and <br />individuals within the community. <br />The City Council consist of six (6) members, two (2) Council <br />members are elected from each ward. <br />SUMMARY BY OBJECT OF EXPENDITURE <br />1983 1984 <br />NO.
