The Strategic Plan should be <br />reviewed and renewed in the next year. <br />Q2 Dashboards <br />David Baril said that Q2 and Q3 are the most important quarters for the golf <br />course. <br />• He pointed out positive numbers in Pro Shop sales, lessons, and range <br />fees. Junior activities and golf outings are finishing up. Golf teams begin <br />practicing on August 1. <br />• There is a line related to Marshall Fire costs, which may be covered by <br />insurance at some point. <br />• David is checking to find out why Food and Beverage Services did not <br />show up on the dashboard. <br />• The golf course will receive an adjustment from the City for the use of the <br />course on July 4tn <br />• David has had to stop a few events due to a high heat index. <br />David Baril reported that the beverage carts are out and about on the course. <br />RAB members have expressed the desire that the company would change <br />their procedure for payment for food and drinks from the carts. The vendors <br />currently take the credit cards back to the clubhouse, rather than having a <br />system that would allow the players to pay on the spot. The current system <br />causes concerns related to credit card security. <br />Ginger Cross reported that numbers are up at the Rec Center. <br />• Attendance began to improve when the mask mandate was lifted. <br />• July is Parks and Recreation Month, and July 31 will be Lifeguard <br />Appreciation Day. <br />• The Rec Center received a grant from the State of Colorado to help with <br />hiring and retaining lifeguards. <br />• Staff is working on the fall catalogue, and registration will begin on August <br />17. New passes will be available with a smaller number of entrances. <br />Deb Fahey asked about fire mitigation efforts at the golf course. David Dean <br />answered that the City is working to get additional water in the fall and spring. <br />The City is responsible for weed control on both sides of Goodhue Ditch. <br />There are several native grass areas on the golf course that have no <br />irrigation. There is no guarantee that the golf course could irrigate in the case <br />of a fire, as there might be no electricity or it could be too cold. <br />Board Updates <br />In addition to reviewing the Golf Course Strategic Plan, board members <br />brought up the idea of creating a strategic plan for building and maintaining <br />
