City of Louisville
749 Main Street Louisville, Colorado 80027 666 - 6565
September 20, 1988
Honorable Mayor Herman Fauson
Members of City Council
RE: 1989 Budget Message
Gentlemen:
Pursuant to Colorado State Statutes, we are pleased to
submit the recommended 1989 Louisville City Budget. Information
contained in this document reflects your input from various study
sessions and recommendations from each department outlining
necessary levels of funding in order to maintain the desired
levels of services. Preparation of the 1989 Budget is based on
projected revenues of $12,403,637 and total expenditures of
$9,748,612.
Major Sources of Revenue:
Bond Proceeds 21.9%
- Taxes 18.9%
- Users Fees 18.4%
- Fund Balance and Misc. 17.2%
- Tap Fees 11.3%
- Service Expansion Fees 9.0%
- Interest Earnings 3.3%
Projections of 1989 revenues and expenditures reflect the
continuation of a sluggish economy on the front range and a
modest increase in the levels of services provided in limited
areas. It is expected that new housing starts will be lower than
previous years, but sufficient to accommodate debt service
requirements.
