COUNCIL'S 1992-'93 GOALS Attachment A MISSION/STATEMENT 1992. Deliver cooperatively and corporately goods and services to the citizens of Louisville which they can't individually deliver, maintain the character, quality of life, and uniqueness of Louisville; focus on the needs of all to achieve balance for overall population; access those needs in the best manner possible within available resources of time and finances. DEPARTMENT ,- GOAL PRIORITY AAA Public Works/Streets Accelerate activity and financial commitment to repair/resurfacing of streets. Establish pavement management system and multi -year financing plan; update regularly. AAA Public Works/Water Assure completion of South Water Treatment Plant for summer use, 1993. AAA Public Works/Water In compliance with the Raw Water Master Plan, identify sources and take aggressive approach to acquisition of raw water. AAA Public Works/Downtown Improvements Continue with multi -year improvements to drainage, streets, curb and gutter, and sidewalks in Downtown Louisville. AAA Council/Parks Master Plan _ Review and Adopt Parks Master Plan, 1992, as a living document. AAA Parks & Recreation/Trails Continue multi -year project to connect Trails. AAA Public Safety/Staffing Review results of PERF Study and establish the proper level of staffing to provide adequate patrol coverage, investigative staff, crime prevention programs, supervisory staff, management staff, support staff. AAA Council Economic Development Committee Commercial Development Devise, adopt and implement a strategic plan to attract more commercial development to increase tax base and become economically competitive. j AAA Human Resources Volunteer Program: Expand and formalize program to utilize talent of volunteers. 1 t
