<br />AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE #718 <br /> <br />TO INCREASE TELEPHONE TAX <br />FROM $4.00 PER YEAR PER <br />USER TO $8.00 PER YEAR <br /> <br />"PPROVAL <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF ORDINANCE #718 <br />AS AMENDED <br /> <br />ORDINANCE #719 - ADOPTING <br />THE NATIONAL ELECTRICIAL <br />CODE - 2ND READING, PUBLIC <br />HEARING <br /> <br />REMARKS <br /> <br />6/16/81 <br /> <br />Page - 4 - <br /> <br />Councilman Brown moved that Ordinance <br />#718 be amended to include the telephone <br />tax - section 3.26.010 which increases <br />the tax from $4.00 per telephone user to <br />$12.00 per year. Seconded by Councilman <br />DelPizzo. <br />After discussion by Council - Councilman <br />Brown rescinded his motion and Councilman <br />DelPizzo rescinded his second. <br /> <br />Councilman Brown moved that Ordinance <br />#718 be amended to include the telephone <br />tax - section 3.26.010 which increases <br />the tax from $4.00 per telephone user to <br />$8.00 per t-elephone user per-year. <br />Seconded by Councilman Cmmnings. <br />Roll call vote: <br />Fauson <br />Domenico <br />Cummings <br />Brown <br />DelPizzo <br />Motion carried 4-1. <br /> <br />No <br />Yes <br />Yes <br />Yes <br />Yes. <br /> <br />Councilman Domenico moved that Ordinance <br />#718 as amended be adopted. Roll call vote. <br />Domenico Yes <br />Brown Yes <br />Cummings Yes <br />Fauson Yes <br />DelPizzo Yes <br />Motion c:arried 5-0. <br /> <br />Attorney Joss read the ordinance by title <br />only. <br />Hayor Caranci opened the public hearing <br />and Attorney Joss reported everything was <br />in order, certified proper publication. <br />Hayor Caranci asked if there was anyone <br />in the audience to support the ordinance. <br />None. J~nyone in the audience opposed to the <br />ordinance. None. <br />Attorney Joss requested that Council consider <br />an amendment to the ordinance as an emergency <br />clause. His reason was currently the State <br />historically has done electrical inspections, <br />now with the adoption of Ordinance #719 the <br />electrical inspections will be done through <br />our Building Dept. Due to this revision, <br />the State informed us they would like to <br />
