<br />3/19/81 <br /> <br />Page -5- <br /> <br />Councilman Cummings <br /> <br />Asked what size building is proposed <br />at the Louisville site. <br />Mr. Higgins reported there hadn't been <br />much discussion up to this point - <br />but his estimate was possibly 10,000 s.f. <br />depending on the growth in this area, <br />and the county as a whole. <br /> <br />Councilman Domenico <br /> <br />Stated he was very much in favor of <br />the proposal, and wished to know if <br />the plans to build a permanent site <br />in Louisville weredefinite. <br />County Clerk Houston reported that <br />decision would be that of the County <br />Commissioners and the funds to finance <br />it would certainly be a factor. <br /> <br />Inquired of Administrator Wurl if <br />there were funds in the City budget <br />to cover the proposal, should council <br />approve it. <br />Administrator Wurl advised there was. <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson <br /> <br />Juncilman DelPizzo <br /> <br />Inquired if the County owned additional <br />property within the city limits. He <br />recalled a proposal a few years ago <br />that a road be constructed to line <br />up with Baseline. <br />Wurl advised the 6.1 acres was the <br />only parcel acquired for the previous <br />plan. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF THE PROPOSAL <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo <br /> <br />Councilman Meier moved that the City <br />Administrator be authorized to nego- <br />tiate with County and the other cities <br />involved - Lafayette and Broomfield <br />to prepare a contract to share the <br />cost of the Tri-City County temporary <br />facility, in the amount of $2,589 for <br />1981. He also wished to go on record <br />of his desire in the future to nego- <br />tiate on a population percentile for <br />the facility. Seconded by Councilman <br />Carni val. <br />Expressed his opposition to the popula- <br />tion formula and wished to go along <br />with the proposal as presented. <br />Administrator Wurl inquired of Mr. <br />Higgins - what is your time frame? <br />He replied they would like to have <br />authorization by Tuesday, l'1arch 24, <br />1981 so that they could notify the <br />
