3/19/81 Page -5- Councilman Cummings Asked what size building is proposed at the Louisville site. Mr. Higgins reported there hadn't been much discussion up to this point - but his estimate was possibly 10,000 s.f. depending on the growth in this area, and the county as a whole. Councilman Domenico Stated he was very much in favor of the proposal, and wished to know if the plans to build a permanent site in Louisville weredefinite. County Clerk Houston reported that decision would be that of the County Commissioners and the funds to finance it would certainly be a factor. Inquired of Administrator Wurl if there were funds in the City budget to cover the proposal, should council approve it. Administrator Wurl advised there was. Councilman Fauson Juncilman DelPizzo Inquired if the County owned additional property within the city limits. He recalled a proposal a few years ago that a road be constructed to line up with Baseline. Wurl advised the 6.1 acres was the only parcel acquired for the previous plan. APPROVAL OF THE PROPOSAL Councilman DelPizzo Councilman Meier moved that the City Administrator be authorized to nego- tiate with County and the other cities involved - Lafayette and Broomfield to prepare a contract to share the cost of the Tri-City County temporary facility, in the amount of $2,589 for 1981. He also wished to go on record of his desire in the future to nego- tiate on a population percentile for the facility. Seconded by Councilman Carni val. Expressed his opposition to the popula- tion formula and wished to go along with the proposal as presented. Administrator Wurl inquired of Mr. Higgins - what is your time frame?
