Seconded by <br />Councilman Fauson. <br /> <br />Referred to section 17.16.040(G) <br />stating"no home occupation shall cause <br />an increase or anyone or more utilities <br />so that the combined total use for the <br />location exceeds the average for resi- <br />dence in the neighborhood." His question <br />was how the excess or utilities would <br />be determi.ned? <br />Director R~pp stated that an evaluation <br />would be made of the average use of <br />the utilities in the neighborhood, and <br />if there was an excess at one home, this <br />would be investigated. <br />In the same section he inquired of <br />Attorney Joss what the problem was to <br />a home for radio and television repairs. <br />Mr. Joss replied the traffic that might <br />be generated depending on how many tv's <br />or radios were being repaired each day. <br />This might cause a problem with parking <br />within the residential neighborhood. <br />Director H.upp also stated another problehl <br />is the legitimate business enterprises <br />\vho establish themselves in a business <br />zone and pay rent-why. can others do <br />business in their homes? <br /> <br />Requested or Director Rupp some examples <br />or minor changes he could approve without <br />going before Planning COllnnission or <br />City Council. <br />He replied most of these refer to PUD's <br />and cited the example of STC moving <br />a building 15' because or a geological <br />rault that ran adjacent to one oi the <br />buildings and ul tinla tely ins tead of 2 <br />buildings proposed one large building <br />oi the same size a$ both buildings. <br />
