<br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />OCTOBER 21, 1980 <br /> <br />Mayor Caranci called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. with the follow- <br />ing Council members present: Fauson, Cun~ings, DelPizzo, Carnival, <br />Meier and Domenico. Others present: City Administrator Wurl, City <br />Attorney Joss, City Engineer Blanchard, Police Chief Leesman, Diro <br />Comm. Dev. Rupp, Dir. Parks & Rec. Rioco, City Treasurer Hesson and <br />City Clerk Stahl. <br /> <br />Donald Kahan stated he was in Louisville for the mall meeting at the <br />school, and introduced Lewis Pollard from Broadway stores and Don Jan- <br />sen, Sears regional representative. <br /> <br />He stated that they were hoping for an earlier election date; however, <br />will be continuing with the mall. <br /> <br />Mr. Pollard and Mr. Jansen, stated that they would be going into the <br />new mall and looked forward to its development. <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES Mayor Caranci and Council approved the minutes <br />of the Oct. 7, 1980, meeting as presented. <br /> <br />ITEMS ENCLOSED <br /> <br />COUNCIL ITEMS <br />KNIGHTS OF PYTHIAS <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />VACANCY - COUNCIL <br />APPOINTMENT <br /> <br />AMERICAN LEGION SPECIAL <br />EVENTS LIQUOR LIC. <br />REQUEST <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Councilman Carni.val moved that enclosurers be <br />accepted and brought up under the proper head <br />of business. Seconded by Councilman Fauson. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />This item was tabled. <br /> <br />Mayor Caranci stated that there were five per- <br />sons interested in the vacancy. The results of <br />the secret ballot were as follows: <br />Carmen DeSantis 1 <br />Duane Elrod 3 <br />Dorothy Ferguson 1 <br />Sue Iten 1 <br />Don Shonkwi.ler 0 <br /> <br />Duane Elrod was chosen as the new Planning <br />Commission membE~r. <br />Councilman Carnival recommended that the letters <br />be kept on file for future vacancies. <br /> <br />Attorney Joss reported that the application was <br />in order and that it had been properly posted. <br />He noted the dates of November 14, and December <br />13, 1980, for the events. <br />Mayor Caranci opened the public hearing. There <br />were no comments, hearing closed. <br />Councilman Fauson moved that the American <br />Legion liquor license request for special events <br />be approved. Seconded by Councilman DelPizzo. <br />Motion carried 6-0. <br />
