Minutes - page 11
September 18, 1980

INITIATIVE PETITION
CODE OF ETHICS
ORDINANCE NO. 699

COMMENTS

Attorney Joss reported that the initiative
petitions on the Code of Ethics have been
presented to the City Clerk asking for
the adoption of the Code of Ethics or
the alternative, if not adopted by Council,
to go to a vote of the residents of Louisville.

Councilman Meier moved that the Code of Ethics
be passed on first reading, that it be put
out for publication, with the vote on the
second reading to be October 7, 1980; and
that a public election onthe ordinance be
set for November 4, 1980. The election
shall be cancelled should the ordinance
be passed on second reading.
Seconded by Councilman Carnival.

Councilman DelPizzo voiced his disappoint-
ment that the group who presented the
petition have never agreed with anything
the board has done and always found some
thing to complain about.

Councilman Carnival stated that he was
disappointed that the group did not pre-
sent the ordinance that was worked out
between the Council and the ordinance
drafters, as much time was spent on it and
it was a good ordinance which was nego-
tiated out.
With no other comments roll call vote was
taken on first reading of Ordinance No.699
Code of Ethics.
AYES: Fausotl, DelPizzo, Cummings, Meier
Carnival.

NOES: Domenico.
Motion carried 5-1.

RESOLUTION NO. 13
DEFERRED COMPENSATION
METROPOLITAN LIFE INS.

Attorney Joss read the Resolution No. 13
pertaining to Deferred Compensation in full.
Councilman Domenico moved that Resolution
No. 13, Deferred Compensation with Metro-
politan Life Ins. Co. be adopted as read.
Seconded by Councilman DelPizzo. Motion
carried 6-0.

RESOLUTION NO. 14
DEFERRED COMPENSATION
ICMA

Attorney Joss read Resolution No. 14
pertaining to Deferred Compensation in full.
Councilman DelPizzo moved that Resolution
No. 14 be adopted as read.
