Minutes - page 4 August 19, 1980 ORDINANCE NO. 692 CONTINUED After comments, Councilman Fauson moved that Recreational Ent. not be allowed in Agri- cultural areas. Motion died - no second. Dir. Rupp stathed that staff has been try- int to come up with what should be allowed in Open Space and Agricultural zones which will fit into the lay of the land. He noted ~ne principle is to preserve the land to maintain open space characteristics, but still allowing reasonable development of the area. It was his feeling that an open space zoning category should be in- cluded in zoning regulations. After comments Councilman Caranci moved that Ordinance No. 692 be adopted as amended in section 16.28,,040. Seconded by Councilman Carnival. Roll call. AYES: Domenico, Carnival and Caranci. NOES: Fauson. Motion carried 3-1. ORDINANCE NO. 693 CODE OF ETHICS SECOND READING PUBLIC HEARING Attorney Joss reported that the ordinance was published in full on August 6, 1980 public hearing notice on August 13, 1980. Attorney Joss read the ordinance on se- cond reading by title only. Mayor Waschak opened the public hearing. Councilman Carnival moved that the pub- lic hearing be continued until the Septem- ber 2, meeting when all Council members will be present. Seconded by Councilman Caranci. Motion carried 4-0. ORDINANCE NO. 694 CONCEALED WEAPONS SECOND READING John Leary 1116 LaFarge, asked if this will cause a problem on getting the issue on the November election ballot. Attorney Joss stated that he did not know for sure, but would check and let him know. Attorney Joss read Ordinance No. 694 on second reading by title only stating that it was properly published on August 6, 1980. Councilman Caranci moved that Ordinance No. 694 be adopted. Seconded by Council- man Carnival. Roll call: AYES: Fauson, Caranci, Carnival, Domenico. Motion carried 4-0.
