MUNICIPAL JUDGE APPOINTMENT COUNCIL COMMENTS POINT OF ORDER EMPLOYEE CONCERNS REORGANIZATION & SALARY SCHEDULE SOUTH BOULDER TRAFFIC POLICE CHIEF POSITION MAYOR Minutes - page 4 January 7, 1980 Mayor Waschak reported that there were two applications for Municipal Judge, Lawrence Enrietto and James Reed. Councilman Caranci moved that Lawrence Enrietto be appointed as Municipal Judge. Seconded by Councilman Meier. Motion carried. Councilman Carnival asked if Council comments was the time to bring up questions or concerns of the citizens. Mayor Waschak stated that citizen items should be brought up under Council comments and reports. Councilman Carnival asked what the procedure was when a concern is brought up about an employee. Mayor Waschak stated that he would like the matter brought up with the City Administra- tor. He noted that he did not want to discuss any person at a public meeting until the whole issue is studied. Councilman Carnival requested a breakdown of how many people our in each category and where they stand in the pay scale. Councilman DelPizzo asked about the possible lights on South Boulder Rd. Mr. Wurl reported that the traffic counts are being completed and they are starting to work on their recommendations, which he hoped to have by the next meeting. Councilman Caranci stated that he would like to see a present City policeman appointed to the position of police chief if possible. Councilmen DelPizzo, Domenico and Fauson concurred with Councilman Caranci's statement. Mayor Waschak congratulated the new Council and was looking forward to working with them. He pointed out that the meetings begin at 7:30. He thanked the outgoing Council for their cooperation and for standing behind their committments.
