PROCLAMATION <br />WHEREAS, the Saturday Study Club in the City of <br />Louisville was founded in 1898 and is currently celebrating its <br />84th year in existence; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Saturday Study Club is affiliated with the <br />general federation of national and international Womens Clubs; and; <br />WHEREAS, the club's activities include distribution of <br />scholarships and grants for public schools and the enhancement of <br />the City of Louisville Public Library, along with furthering the <br />appreciation of the reading arts. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, I, NORBERT MEIER, Mayor of the City of <br />Louisville, do hereby proclaim Play 2, 1982, as Louisville Saturday <br />Study Club Day, and urge all citizens of the city to join in an <br />observance and celebration of the Club at the Louisville Public <br />Library on that day. <br />Mayor <br />Attest: <br />City Clerk <br />
