<br />Minutes - page 2 <br />November 27, 1979 <br /> <br />ANGELO'S PIZZA 3.2% BEER <br />LICENSE APPLICATION <br />PUBLIC HEARING CONTINUED <br /> <br />Attorney Joss stated that since the <br />applicant had a change of address and <br />the consu~?tion was changed to on pre- <br />mises only, the application would need <br />to be corrected. <br /> <br />There were no other comments. <br /> <br />Councilman Caranci moved that Angelo's <br />Pizza 3.2% beer license for on premises <br />consumption only be approved. Seconded <br />by Councilman Berry. Motion carried. <br /> <br />SAFEWAY 3.2% BEER LICENSE <br />REQUEST - PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Mayor Waschak opened the public hearing <br />for Safeway's 3.2% beer license request. <br /> <br />Attorney Joss reported that the appli- <br />cation was in order and the proper notices <br />had been posted and published. <br /> <br />Mr. Vic Boog, representing Safeway, pre- <br />sented Council with the plans for the <br />sales. <br /> <br />Mr. Henry Cominello, Dist. Mgr., gave <br />a brief testimony stating that he has <br />managed stores with the 3.2% beer li- <br />cense and that the beer would be located <br />in the rear of the store and sold only <br />for consumption off premises. <br /> <br />Mr. Max Scott of Oedipus explained the <br />petitions favoring the license noting <br />that out of 1,086, 932 signed in favored <br />the licensE:!. <br /> <br />With no other comments Mayor Waschak <br />closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo asked Mr. Cominello <br />what the plans were for hiring courtesy <br />clerks. <br />Mr. Cominello stated that applications <br />would be taken at the store and they would <br />try to fill the jobs by people in the <br />City. <br /> <br />With no other comments Councilman DelPizzo <br />moved that the Safeway liquor license <br />application for 3.2% beer to be sold for <br />consumption off the premises be approved. <br />Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. Motion <br />carried. <br />
