<br />November 27, 1979 <br />Minutes - page 4 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 668 <br />CITY HALL FINANCING <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 668 was tabled to the <br />adjourned meeting to be held November <br />29, 1979. <br /> <br />LOUISVILLE FIRE DIST. <br />BACK UP PUMP DISC. <br /> <br />Nick Patete, President Louisville Fire <br />Dist., spoke to Council concerning <br />a back up pump on top of South Boulder Rd. <br />Hill, stating that if there would be a <br />fire in that area it could become a <br />disaster if they would lose power and <br />not have the water pumping station up. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl noted that the problem has been <br />studied and plans have been made to dis- <br />cuss the alternatives for that area at <br />the November 29, meeting. <br /> <br />Councilman Meier recommended that the <br />City rent a generator until a final <br />decision is made concerning the back <br />up power. Council felt this would be <br />a good idea and requested staff proceed. <br /> <br />A fire plug on the raw water line was <br />also suggested. <br />Mr. Wurl responded that the line is not <br />always full of water and also that the <br />health department feelsnthis may be a <br />health hazard. <br /> <br />After discussion it was agreed upon by <br />the fire dept. to supply the water plant <br />operators a paige boy in case of a fire <br />they could turn on the back up pump. <br /> <br />An update will be supplied at the adjourned <br />meeting. <br /> <br />SIREN <br /> <br />Mr. Patete also asked what the plans were <br />for moving the siren. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that he has talked with <br />Chief Pollock about the relocation; how- <br />ever there has been no final decision <br />made. <br /> <br />Mr. Patete stated that the fire ~istrict <br />would appreciate Civil Defense supplying <br />funds to move the siren. <br />
