DRUMM <br /> <br />STATE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br />Minutes - page 5 <br />September 18, 1979 <br /> <br />Company can proceed with the necessary <br />work to come up with an industrial revenue <br />bond, and in order to do this it is mandatory <br />on their part, for Council to pass the <br />intent resolution, in order for them to <br />proceed. <br />The City bond attorney's have looked at <br />the STC and other resolution, such as this, <br />and have found them to be in order. Mr. <br />Joss reviewed the resolution and also found <br />it to be in order. <br />Mr. Tom Drever, gave a brief explanation <br />of their business and why they requested <br />the approval of the resolution. <br />Council voiced their concerns about the <br />City being responsible for monies if the <br />company defaulted. <br />Attorney Joss reiterated that the City <br />in no way would be responsible and this <br />resolution only allows for the continuation <br />of compiling the paper work in order to <br />actually apply for the bonds. <br />After comments Mr. Leon Wurl read Resol- <br />ution NO. 18, Series 1979 in full. <br />Councilman Kilker moved that Resolution <br />No. 18, Series 1979, be adopted. Seconded <br />by Councilman Meier. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl read Resolution No. 17, commending <br />Dennis A. Drumm, during his employment with <br />the City. <br />Councilman DelPizzo moved that Resolution <br />No. 17, Series 1979, be adopted. Seconded <br />by Councilman Berry. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that staff is requesting <br />Council's approval to send the letter with <br />the requested highway improvements as <br />approved and recommended by the staff <br />and Planning Commission. <br />He noted that that the number one priority <br />has been changed to the construction of <br />a new interchange at U.S. 36 and Superior. <br /> <br />After comments Councilman Caranci moved <br />that a letter be submitted to Boulder County <br />and to the State Highway Dept. Seconded <br />by Councilman Kilker. Motion carried. <br />
