STREETS PAVING

Minutes - page 8
September 18, 1979

Councilman Meier asked Park & Rec. Dir.
Stahl who was responsible for weeds on
ditch and bank behind Regal Square.
Mr. Stahl reported that the City is re-
sponsible for some, but the ditch company
is responsible for the banks and down
into the ditch.
Councilman Meier requested that staff ask
the ditch companies to cut weeds on their
property.

Councilman Mei.er stated that he has been
asked about getting a gate at Miners Field
on the west si.de of the field.
Mr. Stahl stated that they have moved the
bleachers insi.de the field and are trying
to encourage people to sit on the east
side during the games. He stated that
he did not want to install a gate on the
west side as they have recently planted
trees on the west and are trying to dis-
courage people from sitting on that side,
as the bleachers are close to the street
and are also creating a hazard with cars
and people running in the street.

Attorney Joss stated that the last official
word he has received on Aquarius was that
it has moved from the file to Judge Dana's
cabinet. Attorney Joss stated that they
hope to receive word in a week or two.

Councilman Meier requested that some type
of plaque be presented to Mrs. Stout.

Councilman Berry stated that he would also
like the annexation report of county pro-
perties to City, to include the status of
possible ramifications of proposed legis-
lation which would change the powers of
the City in that situation.

Councilman DiCarlo asked if the North-South
Streets such as Roosevelt were scheduled
for paving this year.
Mr. Wur1 stated that the City had not anti
cipated the digging of Roosevelt for the
water mains, so they did not have it
scheduled for paving.
In regards to llfain St. from Main south,
that is not scheduled for paving either.
