ORDINANCE NO. 659 BUILDING CODE AMENDMENT SECOND READING ORDINANCE NO. 660 ADDITION TO BUILDING CODE - MALLS SECOND READING RESOLUTION NO. 14 SERIES 1979 APPROVING CENTENNIAL VALLEY SECOND FILING FINAL PLAT AND P.U.D. Minutes - page 4 August 21, 1979 Attorney Joss read Ordinance No. 659 on second reading stating that the ordinance was properly published. He stated that this ordinance amends and modifies the table relative to fees permits. The amendment would allow con- struction ~vork with the valuation up to $500 to be done without a building permit fee. This deals only with renovation, re- modeling or repair of existing structures with addi.tional requirements. ATtorney Joss noted that fences are not part of the structure and would still require a building permi.t. After discussion Councilman Berry moved that Ordinance No. 659 be adopted. Seconded by Councilman Neier. Roll call vote. Berry yes, Caranci yes, Heier yes, DiCarlo yes, Kilker yes. Motion carried. Attorney Joss read Ordinance No. 660 on second reading by title only. Councilman Caranci moved that Ordinance No. 660 be adopted. Seconded by Councilman Berry. Attorney Joss noted that the ord- inance has been reviewed by the Building Inspector and legal staff. Roll call on motion. DiCarlo yes, Berry yes, Meier yes, Caranci yes, Kilker yes. Motion carried. Attorney Joss read Resolution No. 14 Mayor Waschak reported that he would give anyone wishing to speak two minutes to voice their concerns. Gary Brent apologized to Council stating that the drawings of the center were lost in freight flight, but there was a pre- sentation on the landscape design. Dennis Strah Landplan Design Assoc. presented a preliminary landscape plan for the shopping center. He stated that much detail still needs to be worked out. He noted that the landscaping will be through transitional zones, using the natural landscape on the outer area and working in to a developed landscaping.
