<br />REGUIA.lt MEETING <br /> <br />LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />JULY 3, 1979 <br /> <br />Mayor Waschak called the regular meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. with <br />the following Council members present: DiCarlo, Berry, Heier, Caranci, <br />Kilker. Councilman DelPizzo arrived late due to work. Others pre- <br />sent: City Administrator 'V,Jurl, City Attorney Joss, City Planner Drumm, <br />Parks & Rec. Director Stahl, City Engineer Richardson, City Trea- <br />surer Hesson, Police Chief Munger, and City Clerk Stahl. <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES <br /> <br />ENCLOSURERS <br /> <br />COUNCIL ITEMS <br />BUNGALOW LIQUORS <br />LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATION <br /> <br />Mayor Waschak and Council approved the <br />minutes of the rescheduled regulat meeting <br />of June 26, 1979, as presented. <br /> <br />Councilman DiCarlo moved that enclosurers <br />be accepted and brought up under the pro- <br />per head of business. <br /> <br />Attorney Joss noted that all notices were <br />properly published, and that the appli- <br />cation was in proper'form. <br />Mayor Waschak opened the public hearing. <br />Attorney Joss reported that petitions <br />containing 615 signatures were pre- <br />sented to the City from people in favor <br />of the proposed license being issued. <br />Mr. Hartin Zerobnik, representing Hrs. <br />Sullivan, gave a presentation requesting <br />that the application be approved. <br />Mr. Max Scott, Oedipus Inc., 1200 Pearl <br />St. reported that his firm did the pe- <br />titions for the applicant and then ex- <br />plained the procedure that was followed <br />for the signing and filing of the petitions. <br />Hr. Scott stated that it "laS his opinion <br />by the petitions that the needs of the <br />neighborhood have not been met and the <br />new outlet is needed. <br /> <br />Mrs. VernicE~ Sullivan, presented herself <br />stating that she plans to close the Drug <br />Store in thE~ downtown area and the new <br />liquor license will be for a new liquor <br />store separate from the drug store to <br />keep minors from being near the alcohol. <br /> <br />After the presentation there were no other <br />comments, Mayor Waschak closed the public <br />hearing. <br />Councilman Caranci stated that he was im- <br />pressed with the petitions and explanation <br />by Mr. Scott. <br /> <br />Councilman Caranci moved that the liquor <br />license request made by Vernice Sullivan <br />
