<br />LHA & LURA MERGER <br />CONTINUED <br /> <br />REAPPORTIONMENT OF WARDS <br />ORDINANCE NO. 656 FIRST <br />READING. <br /> <br />*8:05 P.M. ARRIVAL <br />COUNCILMAN DELPIZZO <br /> <br />AUDIENCE COMMENTS <br />MARIETTA HAFNER <br /> <br />Minutes - page 3 <br />July 3, 1979 <br /> <br />Mr. Drumm stated that the procedure for <br />the board, until it reaches 5 members, <br />would be the original LHA board would <br />vote on LHA matter and the LURA matters <br />would be voted on by all members. <br /> <br />Councilman Kilker moved that Council <br />approve the LHA & LURA merger. Seconded <br />by Councilman Berry. <br /> <br />Mr. Drumm stated he was in favor of the <br />merger and felt both boards could work <br />together, instead of in different directions <br />as in the past. . <br /> <br />After comments, Council approved the merger. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl distributed maps to Council for <br />viewing. Mr. Wurl explained the boun- <br />dary lines for each ward stating that <br />there were approximately 703 units Ward III, <br />712 lJ"ard II and 718 Ward I. <br />All members of Council had before them a <br />copy of Ordinance No. 656 on first read- <br />ing for their review and files. <br />Attorney JOS8 read the Ordinance on <br />first reading by title only. <br />Councilman Meier moved that Ordinance No. <br />656 be ordered published. Seconded by <br />Councilman Berry. Motion carried. <br />Attorney Joss stated that a public hearing <br />is not necessary and the emergency clause <br />is included because of the deadline which <br />must be met.i.n getting the changes into <br />the Council. <br /> <br />Marietta Hafner, 10178 Empire Dr, stated <br />that she was representing her neighbors <br />also of their concern for plans to cut <br />a road to Empire Dr. from Centaur Village. <br />She stated that they would like the City <br />do be aware of their feelings. <br />Mr. Drumm stated that the Louisville staff <br />will be meeting the City of Lafayette <br />staff for a work session on July 5, and <br />also a hearing that evening. <br /> <br />Council noted their concerns and asked <br />that the City staff deal with the problem <br />in a way that will be best for the City <br />of Louisville. <br />
