PROCLAMATION <br /> Physical Therapy Month <br /> October 2005 <br /> WHEREAS: the practice of physical therapy involves a variety of aspects from injury <br /> prevention to general health and fitness to rehabilitation following an <br /> injury, disease or surgery; and <br /> WHEREAS: physical therapy helps improve the quality of life and physical well being <br /> of people of all ages, including cardiac patients, children, athletes and the <br /> elderly; and <br /> WHEREAS: the Colorado Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association <br /> represents more than 1,000 physical therapists, physical therapist <br /> assistants and physical therapy students in Colorado and promotes the <br /> importance of physical therapy education and research; and <br /> WHEREAS: through physical therapy practice, education and research,physical <br /> therapists are able to prevent disease,promote health, reduce pain and <br /> enhance the quality of life; and <br /> WHEREAS: it is appropriate that we recognize these individuals who dedicate their <br /> time and talent toward enhancing the physical health of the citizens of our <br /> state and thank them for making Colorado an even better and healthier <br /> place to live, work and raise a family. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, I, MAYOR CHARLES SISK, do hereby proclaim October 2005 <br /> as PHYSICAL THERAPY MONTH in Louisville, Colorado, and <br /> encourage all citizens to recognize the significant contributions of these <br /> dedicated professionals. <br /> Dated this 4rh day of October, 2005 <br /> f,; r <br /> OJ�gVIL��c'% f 4J / <br /> '' tl <br /> O G, t Mayor Charles L.
