ORDINANCE NO. 641 FIRST READING PELLIGRINI-FREY ZONING POLICE & FIRE DISPATCH SERVICE CONTRACT CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT PROCLAMATION FISHING AT CITY RESERVOIR Minutes - page 3 April 17, 1979 All members of Council had before them a copy of Ordinance No. 641 for their review and files. City Attorney Joss read the ordinance No. 641 on first reading by title only. Councilman DelPizzo moved that Ordinance No. 641 be ordered published and a pub- lic hearing be set for May 15, 1979. Seconded by Councilman Caranci. Motion carried. Attorney Joss stated that he had met with Broomfield to discuss the contract fees for dispatching service for the police department and fire department. He reported that the increase in cost is 590.00 which will bring the total of the monthly charge to 1092.00 for services. Councilman Meier stated that he was not happy with the drastic and requested that they do it on a more gradual increase. Mr. Wurl commented that the rates had not been increased in the last 5 years and this is part of the reason for such a drastic increase. After discussion Councilman Caranci moved that the City go ahead and contract with the City of Broomfield for dis- patching services at the cost of $1092.90 per month. Seconded by Councilman Kilker Roll call. DiCarlo yes, DelPizzo yes, Kilker yes, Berry yes, Caranci yes, Meier yes. Motion carried. Councilman DiCarlo moved that the City Attorney's report be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Councilman Berry. Motion carried. City Administrator Wurl read the pro- clamation for Cancer Drive Week for April 23, 1979. In conjunction with the July 4, cele- bration, the Parks department was re- questing permission to fish at the City reservoir. After Council discussion Councilman Caranci moved that the request for fishing at the City Reservoir on July 4, be denied.
