DUMP TRUCKS, PICK UP
TRUCKS AND WATER WAGON
CALL FOR BIDS CONTINUED

SOUTH PARK OUTLINE

CORRESPONDENCE

APPROVAL OF CITY ADMIN-
ISTRATOR REPORT

Minutes - page 4
December 19, 1978

After discussion Councilman Kilker moved
that the City Administrator be authorized
to call for bids on three dump trucks,
three pick up trucks and one water wagon.
combined into one package. Seconded by
Councilman Berry. Motion carried.

Parks & Recreation Director Stahl outlined
the preliminary plans for South Park.
Mr. Stahl reported that the planned area
is approximately 11 acres adjacent to the
Elementary school on the south.
Mr. Stahl stated that the grant money for
the park needs to be used in 1979 or the
City will lose the funds.
Mr. Stahl stated that in order to complete
Phase I of South Park an additional $76,000
of City Funds will be needed. He added
that the additional funds had been budgeted
for in the 1979 budget.
Staff requested authority to proceed with
the plan and specifications of South Park
and authorization to call for bids and
also authority to apply for a grant for
Phase II of the Park.
Councilman Berry commented on the calendar
stating that there could be problems if the
annexation does not come about as
scheduled.
Mr. Wurl stated that the schedule can be
adjusted and the only portion of the plan
to be interupted would be the planning
stage.
After discussion Councilman DiCarlo moved
that the South Park planning be continued
and the grant application be submitted,
to the Division of Parks and Outdoor
Recreation.
