DIRECTOR CORRESPONDENCE FARMERS RESERVOIR AND IRRIGATION AGREEMENT APPROVAL CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT COUNCIL COMMENTS & COMMITTEE REPORTS WATER LINE BREAKS Minutes - page 3 November 8, 1978 City Administrator Wurl requested authorization to advertise for a full time Parks and Rec. Director. Discussion was held by Council per- taining to salary and basic duties and beginning work day. After dis- cussion Councilman Meier moved that the City Administrator be authorized to advertise for a full time Parks and Rec Director at a starting salary of $17,280, Grade 14. Seconded by Councilman DelPizzo. Roll call. DiCarlo yes, Kilker yes, Berry yes, DelPizzo yes, Caranci no, Meier yes. Motion carried. Mr. Wurl reviewed correspondence. Mr. Steve Williamson was in attendance and answered questions from Council pertaining to the agreement. After discussion Councilman Berry moved that the Mayor be authorized to sign the agreement. Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. Roll call. DiCarlo yes, Berry yes, Meier yes, Kilker yes, Caranci yes, DelPizzo yes. Motion carried. Councilman Caranci moved that the City Administrators report be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Coun- cilman Meier. Motion carried. Mr. Wurl reported that at present our ordinance states that people maintain the water line from the main to the house. Recently water line breaks have been caused problems with residents. He stated that before the City did not have the equipment to correct the pro- blem, but now with the equipment and manpower he felt that the City should consider being responsible for the lines up to the property line or curb box, whichever comes first. After discussion Councilman Berry moved that the Attorney be instructed to pre- pare an ordinance amending the code whereby the City would accept repairing the feeder lines up to the curb box
