Y. <br />.M7 <br />Office o f t4e Mayor <br />I[outsm-fir, T90taraba <br />i3rotlamatt"On <br />CONSTITUTION WEEK <br />SEPTEMBER 17-23, 1995 <br />WHEREAS, it is the privilege and duty of all Americans to commemorate the anniversary of <br />the signing of the Constitution of the United States of America, with appropriate <br />ceremonies and activities; and <br />WHEREAS, the Constitution of the United States, the guardian of our liberties is a product <br />of reflection and choice, embodying the principles of limited government in a <br />republic dedicated to rule by law, not by men; and <br />WHEREAS, September 17, 1995, marks the two hundred eighth anniversary of the drafting <br />of the Constitutional Convention; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Law No. 915, guarantees the issuance of a proclamation each year by <br />the President of the United States of America, designating September 17-23, <br />1995, as Constitution Week. <br />Now Therefore, I Tom Davidson, Mayor of the City of Louisville, Colorado do hereby <br />proclaim the week of September 17-23, 1995; as "Constitution Week" and urge all citizens to <br />l <br />study the Constitution and reflect on the privileges of being and American with all the rights <br />and responsibilities which that privilege involves. <br />Jn witness w4e¢eof have %uzeunto set my <br />Band u�secl'.ais isaf to Ga affixed, <br />ATTEST: <br />DATE: <br />
