PROCLAMATION <br />WHEREAS, the Denver Broncos won the AFC West Championship; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the Denver Broncos were successful in defeating both <br />the New England Patriots and the Cleveland Browns to <br />become the American Football Conference Champions; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the Denver Broncos will be competing against the New York <br />Giants on Sunday, January 25, 1987, for the Super <br />Bowl Crown; and, <br />WHEREAS, Friday, January 23, 1987, has been officially declared <br />as the Rocky Mountain Thunder Day for the State of <br />Colorado; and, <br />WHEREAS, many avid Denver Bronco fans live in the City of <br />Louisville and will be rooting for the Broncos during <br />the Super Bowl Game; and, <br />WHEREAS, a member of Denver Broncos, Rick Dennison, lives in <br />the City of Louisville; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, I, Herm Fauson, Mayor of the City of Louisville, <br />do hereby proclaim Friday, January 23, 1987, as Rocky <br />Mountain Thunder Day for the City of Louisville. All <br />Bronco fans are encouraged to wear orange and to yell <br />their support for the Broncos at noon on this date. <br />FURTHERMORE, I hereby proclaim Sunday, January 25, 1987, as Denver <br />Bronco Sunday in the City of Louisville and encourage all <br />Louisville residents to root for a Bronco victory in this <br />important Super Bowl XXI Game. <br />DATED THIS 20TH DAY OF JANUARY, 1987 <br />urr • ' <br />
