Office o f the Aacgor <br />Tvutsutllr, TWIvrabo <br />P, <br />Prortamatton <br />WHEREAS, alcoholism is the second leading cause of death in the United <br />States; and <br />WHEREAS, alcoholism is the number one public health problem in the United <br />States, including every municipality in Colorado; and <br />WHEREAS, the National Council on Alcoholism is established for the dissemination <br />of information regarding this dreaded disease; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mile High Council on Alcoholism, and NCA affiliated, is the local <br />agency involved in the dissemination of information on alcoholism <br />for the five -country metropolitan Denver area; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mile High Council on Alcoholism in conjunction with other <br />affiliate Councils throughout Colorado and the United States, <br />join together to bring information relative to this deadly <br />disease to the attention of all citizens; and <br />WHEREAS, the week of October 7-13, 1984, has been designated Alcohol <br />Awareness Week with the theme that "Alcohol Problems CAN be <br />Solved"; <br />NOW THEREFORE, I, NORBERT A.
