Chair <br />Smith agreed that the LRC can look to DCI to help guide the process. <br />Public comment from Rick Kron — Mr. Kron commented that it seems like the <br />LRC is looking to City Council for guidance on projects and priorities, but City <br />Council is looking to the LRC for guidance at the same time. <br />Public comment from Mike Kranzdorf — Previous LRC projects (550 S <br />McCaslin) may have helped create a rift between the LRC and City Council. <br />Specialist Brown clarified that there will be an additional meeting with DCI prior <br />to the October 12 LRC meeting. <br />• Discussion/Direction- Preliminary 2023 Budget Review and Discussion of <br />Capital Projects <br />Specialist Brown gave an overview of the budget schedule, planned <br />expenditures, and potential capital projects that could be included within the <br />2023 LRC budget. City Manager Jeff Durbin added that staff would like to <br />receive feedback on the proposed capital projects. <br />Assistant City Manager Megan Davis gave a brief overview of the City budget <br />process and introduced the five capital projects that staff is proposing to include <br />in the LRC budget. <br />Public comment from Mark Cathcart — Mr. Cathcart brought up the sidewalk <br />issues from the perspective of people living across S. Boulder road in the North <br />End Market area by the King Soopers. There is no connectivity to get downtown <br />and the sidewalks are not there. The West side is disconnected and traffic is <br />dangerous to citizens crossing the road. <br />Assistant City Manager Megan Davis clarified that the Electric Vehicle Charging <br />stations would be in addition to what is already planned and budgeted by the <br />City. <br />Director Zuccaro confirmed that the City is exploring the option of using Xcel's <br />luminaire replacement, rather than acquiring the poles. Commissioner Adler <br />asked for clarification as to whether or not this project requires additional <br />Council feedback.
